Race Information:

The race distance is now 1.3 miles.  Please note the winners (boy and girl) will be setting the RLAM Kid's Race course record!

 The 2009 Kid's Race will take place BEFORE the Women's 5K on Mother's Day Morning, May 10th at 8 am. 

This race is for children up to 8th grade.  Parents are welcome to run with their children but there will also be "run angels" to help runners.  The "angels",otherwise known as high school students will support the athletes along the way.

 This race will be chip-timed and also have age-group awards.  Every runner  will receive a t-shirt and a ribbon for participating. 

Another Option:

For the Little Kids or those not wanting to run the Kid's Race...

Children also have the option to cross the finish line with their mother or other athlete running the women's 5K.  There will be a "holding area" about 100 yards from the finish.  Kids can wait there until their "athlete" makes the turn to the finish line.  They can run through the finish line together.  A great memory and photo opportunity!
